Workshop on Binary Instrumentation Systems and Analysis

December 12, 2009, New York, NY

This workshop provides a forum for researchers to present their work on instrumentation systems and applications. Instrumentation has been shown to be an effective technique to support program analysis, debugging, security, and simulation. A number of instrumentation tools and runtime systems have been developed. Instrumentation can be effectively implemented statically (at compile or link time) or dynamically (at run time). This workshop will provide researchers with an opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about new tools and applications. This workshop will consider papers that address a range of topics, including instrumentation toolsets, program profiling, dynamic optimization, quantitative metrics for binary instrumentation systems, microarchitectural studies, security applications, software testing and correctness, new applications for instrumentation, and instrumentation tools used in compiler and architecture education. Second Workshop on I/O Virtualization (WIOV '10)

March 13-17, 2010, Pittsburgh, PA

The Second Workshop on I/O Virtualization (WIOV '10) will be held in conjunction with ASPLOS 2010 and VEE 2010 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in March 2010. Following the success of the First Workshop on I/O Virtualization (WIOV '08), this one-day workshop is again meant to provide a forum to discuss the challenges of I/O virtualization that cut across the virtual machine monitor, guest operating system, processor, memory subsystem, and I/O subsystem. In that spirit, we welcome papers that describe new challenges in I/O virtualization, papers that describe novel approaches to solving known problems in I/O virtualization, and papers describing real world experiences in the area of I/O virtualization. The final program will consist of both reviewed submissions and invited talks. The invited talks will focus on open problems in I/O virtualization and be accessible to a broad audience. Learn More >
