Sifting through details on the basic theory behind Virtualization is becoming increasing difficult. There is a lot of chatter on white papers, academic courses and online blogs about Virtualization. And if you are invested in technology stock on the Wall St, it is increasingly difficult to avoid the term - Virtualization.
While trying to find the basics and the history behind virtualization I came across this great document written by Amit Singh. Singh states that "if you were to use virtualization in a an endeavor (research or otherwise), here are some things to look at".
The document has been very clearly categorized among other things like History, Old Problems and Why Virtualizations.
Give it a read, and if you find it interesting or have comments please leave them here. I will provide answers to all comments and questions.
